Cecil Edward Abercrombie, Sr.

C.E. Abercrombie was a preacher of the gospel who lived in the Birmingham, Alabama area. In the 1950s he debated a number of preachers on the no-class/no-institutionalism issues of that day. He debated such men at W. Curtis Porter, John T. Lewis, Leroy Garrett, Rex Turner and W.C. Phillips. He also held a debate with a denominational preacher W.W. McMickin of the Church of God. He passed from this life July 23, 1976, and is buried in the Jefferson Memorial Gardens East Cemetery in Trussville, Alabama
