Web editor note: In February, 2012, it was my privilege to visit the grave of W.W. Stirman. I was invited to take part in the annual Affirming The Faith Lectureship in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Getting into the area early, I was afforded the opportunity to put about 2000 miles on a rental car in order to locate graves of gospel preachers and church leaders of yesteryear in a wide area. My third day I was able to visit the grave of W.W. Stirman

	Texas Preacher
	The Stirman family has long been connected to the history of the Restoration Movement in the state of Texas. William W. Stirman was born October 26, 1819, and was one of four brothers who preached the old time gospel in that state at the end of the 19th and the first of the 20th centuries. His brothers are listed on Ligon's Portraiture of Gospel Preachers. He preached in Kaufman, Texas, and died November 24, 1891 just outside Wichita Falls. He is buried in the Highland Cemetery in Iowa Park, Texas.

	Directions To The Grave of William W. Sterman
	W.W. Sterman is buried in Iowa Park, Texas. This north Texas town is located just west of Wichita Falls on Hwy. 287. Traveling west, get off at the Bell Rd. exit off Hwy. 287, and go north one block. Turn left on Rogers Road, and you will see the entrance to the Highland Cemetery up on your right. Enter the cemetery, and head back down the front fence row back toward Bell Rd. The Sterman plot will be on the left. Plot Info: Plot: 0009--4--11
