Stone, Jr.
1817-1881

Directions
To The Grave Of B.W. Stone, Jr.
In
downtown Dallas, Texas, B.W. Stone Jr. is buried in the old Pioneer Cemetery.
With skyscrapers just to the north, and city buildings all around, the Cemetery
is located at the Cnr. of the 1000 Block of Young St. and the 1200s Block of
Marilla, in the southern part of downtown. It is a part of a park called Pioneer
Plaza, on the west side marked with large statues of Texas cowboys riding the
range, cattle, etc. It is a very nice park. If coming from the DFW airport the
best way to get to the park/cemetery would be to get off of I-35E at exit 428E
and cloverleaf around and head up Commerce St. It will take your right through
Dealey Plaza (Note: Dealey Plaza is where John F. Kennedy was mortally wounded
in 1963). Proceed through the Plaza a few blocks and turn right on S. Lamar St.
Go three blocks and turn left on Young St. The cemetery and plaza will by one
block up on your right.
